Gold futures fell after the dollar climbed, eroding the appeal of the precious metals as alternative investments

Gold futures fell after the dollar climbed, eroding the appeal of the precious metals as alternative investments. ``The main focus is on dollar strength,'' Liran Kapeluto, a senior dealer at trading-system operator Finotec Trading U.K. Ltd., said by phone from London. ``I expect selling pressure for the next couple of days.'' Gold currently trading at $926.90 as of 6:21 pm, GMT.
