Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: IBKR) an automated global electronic market maker and broker, announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a special cash dividend of $1.79 per share on the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock. The dividend is payable on December 23, 2010 to shareholders of record as of December 9, 2010. The aggregate pretax amount to be paid by the Group’s operating companies will be approximately $1 billion. The Group expects to pay the dividend from cash on hand.
