What is your name and position?

Johny Abuaitah Managing Director of Windsor Brokers Ltd.

What is your professional background?

I obtained my B.Sc. in Accounting and Computing at Leicester University in 1988. One year later I received my Masters Sc. Diploma in Business Systems Analysis at City University in the U.K.

In the early 90’s, I joined Windsor Stock Trading as a financial dealer.  I mainly focused on carrying extensive research for building and using digital mathematical formulas that would provide signals for entering and exiting financial markets. I also used to publish a daily newsletter on analysis and recommendations with regards to major world currencies.

In 1994, I was appointed as the Managing Director of Windsor Stock Trading where my main objective was to structure an international financial organization that would offer financial products suitable for the Middle Eastern region with solid European standards.

In 2003 Windsor Brokers Ltd was established under the supervision of the Central Bank of Cyprus.  In 2004, Windsor was one of the first companies in its sector to obtain licensing from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec) and then in 2007 we received the EEA Authorization from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK.

Today, Windsor is recognized as a leading International Financial Services Company not only in its region but also worldwide.

Who are your targeted audience?

We are targeting both investors and speculators of all sizes. Our package is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of investors.

Is your main focus of your business online or offline?

We are primarily an online business, via our state of the art platform Windsor direct 4, which is based on the most efficient Metatrader 4 and by implementing the latest in technology we offer to our clients a very fast and stable connection and excellent customer support 24/5 where they can call our dealing desk for dealing execution.

What advice do you have for someone who is just starting to trade the forex market?

To be very vigilant with whom he or she will invest. There is great number of brokers in the market, however not all legal or regulated entities and therefore these two very important criteria need to be met. With any legal and regulated entity you may choose you will ensure that you have a real partner for the safety of your investment and also in a case of litigation to know which company you have to deal with.

How different is the forex market today from what it was 2 years ago?

The forex market is becoming more and more an important business around the world with huge sums of cash being traded each day, I still believe however that we need to keep a personal approach even thought it is mostly an online business.

Do you also offer Fund management services?

Currently we do not but with the expansion of our business we do not rule out the possibility in the future.

Who are the main competitors of Windsor brokers in the online forex market?

We believe that all companies properly regulated and providing the same online business are a competitors which in a sense is constructive because it helps the sector to improve and innovate.

What do you think about Forex scam problems in the online forex brokers market?

We strictly advocate education of investors as a solution to this phenomenon in order to know if a company is regulated and by which authority. We also encourage the implementation of regulations and legislation on money laundering and adequate supervision of investment companies by the relevant administration.

Where do you see Windsor Brokers 2 years from now?

We are consolidating our position as a leader not only in the Gulf and Middle Eastern region, but also by expanding into new markets.
