Default Excel to Meta Trader - Turn Excel into an Expert Adviser builder

I think that being able to use excel to build strategies, analyze trades and execute positions is a great way of trading without having to use MQL4 and use shady EAs. What do you think?

Post » Knowing the Ins and Outs of Chandelier Exit

Have you ever heard of a stop placement strategy that trails stop based on previous 'high' points? It is called Chandelier exit as it hangs down from the high point or the ceiling of our trade, just as a chandelier hangs from a room ceiling. The distance, which is usually calculated from the high point to the trailing stop; could also be calculated in dollars or in contract based points. However, the value of this trailing stop moves upward very promptly as higher highs is reached.

    1) You can use commercial solution like FxDialogue which do almost all things you need.
    2) You can access MT in excel using DDE.
    3) If you would like more complex way to interact with Excel you must create pure C++ library which is accessible from MT and can use COM API required to communicate with Excel.

    absolutely right my dear friend
being able to use excels to strategise graphs and charts is an astonishing feature of meta trader 4. this helps to form charts and graphs without the prior knowledge of mql or other typical languages.

Yes I think you're right. Newbies can easily adapt to forex trading if they can use a platform they are already familiar with rather than something that's still new and unfamiliar to someone new in this industry.
