Is the world going to end in 2012?

I have read some news about 2012 in google and after reading some article I would like to asked if what can you say about this and if you believed such thing and I have also read that their is some re creation in 2012 according to Mayan calendar

I dont know where did you get the end part, but this chart just showes 9 parts of human development and a big question mark in the future, nothing about world coming to an end.

Proof should not even be used in the same sentence with 2012, more like just live on its destiny that will decide. Because we don't know anything about it, and there is no way to reverse it if its true. the Mayans did say that 2012 will be a new era not end of the world, and Mayans were the best astronomers of their era, so they could be right. This all could maybe be a miscalculated thing, or we people understood the Mayans in the wrong way. So only god knows what will happen. But very very likely that something huge will happen according to Mayans, current Astronomers, Nostradamus, and other scientists. Arguing, and looking for proofs will not make anything better, rather maybe we should unite and end all the ignorance in the world and live in peace.

how many times have we heard the world will end??? how many false prophecies have we encountered all based on someone charismatic saying "trust me- i know"...

when will we finally realize that ALL prophecies are bull, live our lives, and stop waiting for the freakin end...

There were many myths earlier regarding various other hypes and none of them have turned true. Similarly, I don't believe in this logic as well

Well, I don't think that the world will end in 2012 but I also have the feeling that something big is gonna happen. I also think that the Mayas had a great and sophisticated culture and their astronomic efforts are amazing. Maybe a big flood again or another volcano, we have huge natural disasters regularly anyway.
