Graduated from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C., 1980.  B.A. Political Science.

After two+ years in the insurance brokerage industry in New York, N.Y., with The JLS Group, joined Thomson McKinnon Securities Inc. (TMSI) in 11/82 and eventually became a regional sales manager.
TMSI was acquired by Prudential Securities in 1989, whereupon Mr. Trumbore worked in Pru’s National Sales Dept.

In 11/90, Trumbore moved to the Thomson Fund Group, a publicly traded company, as head of broker/dealer operations and was later promoted to National Sales Manager.  The Thomson Fund Group was then acquired by PIMCO Advisors in 1994 and Trumbore left in 2/99 as Executive Vice President to found StocksandNews.com LLC, Summit, N.J., USA, where he is president and editor.
