Cory is an independent trader, analyst and writer specializing in short-to medium-term technical strategies. He is the founder of vantagepointtrading, a website dedicated to offering free trade ideas, analysis, trader education and discussion. After graduating with a business degree Cory has spent the last five years trading multiple markets and educating traders.

During Cory’s Bachelors degree (majoring in Finance), he was introduced to technical analysis and short term trading as part of a securities course. From that point on, it was what he wanted to do. After finishing university he worked with two of the largest proprietary trading firms in Canada quickly establishing himself as a consistent and profitable trader - holding records for most profitable days within a network of trading offices by developing unique and highly profitable strategies. During this time Cory predominantly traded stocks on the NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE and AMEX. He also traded Eminis and ETFs.

Cory now trades independently focusing on the Forex market. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts and Market Technicians Association. Cory holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation as well as multiple certificates from the Candian Securities Institute.  His articles and analysis have been widely published - contributing regularly to Investopedia/Forbes Digital, Stock & Commodities Magazine, CfdsPros, ForexPros and Trader Planet.
