Dan Cook, Senior Market Analyst at IG Markets, a leading dealer in financial derivatives and margined foreign exchange, focuses on both the fundamental and technical side of the equity, currency and commodity markets. Dan has assisted retail traders through what has arguably been the most turbulent of market conditions in 75 years.

Dan began his career in the financial markets in 1998, when he began trading on his own in the equities markets.  Trading through the bull market of the 90’s and through the bursting of the technology bubble in the early 2000’s has given Dan a firm understanding of trading during diverse market conditions.

Dan wears many different hats at IG. His passion for technical analysis is evident through his active memberships in the Market Technician’s Association, National Futures Association and Toastmaster International. He provides daily written and oral commentary on currency and equity markets for client and media distribution and is a featured speaker at trade show events and industry panel discussions.
