TOKYO, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average on Monday
fell to a 26-year low at the opening, with exporters such as
Canon Inc <7751.T> extending losses on a strong yen, but it soon
turned positive.
By 0008 GMT the benchmark Nikkei <.N225> had risen 0.7
percent or 53.78 points to 7,702.86, its lowest intraday level
since 1982. The broader Topix <.TOPX> was down 0.6 percent to
801.27.
