Nov 18 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, North American and Asian companies were reported by 2100 GMT on Tuesday.

** InBev NV has closed its purchase of U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc to create the world's largest brewer in the biggest cash acquisition in history, despite a global financial crisis that has stymied other deals.

** Ford Motor Co, scrambling for cash as the U.S.-based automakers struggle to stay alive, has agreed to sell about two-thirds of its stake in Japanese carmaker Mazda Motor Corp for around $538 million.

** Chipmaker ON Semiconductor Corp dropped its hostile offer to acquire Atmel Corp on Tuesday, leaving bidding partner Microchip Technology Inc to look for other ways to pursue a deal with Atmel.

** French warplane maker Dassault Aviation is in exclusive talks with Alcatel-Lucent to buy the telecoms equipment maker's 20.8 percent stake in radar maker Thales for about 1.52 billion euros ($1.92 billion).

** Japanese video game maker Koei Co Ltd will take over smaller rival Tecmo Ltd in a stock deal worth 20 billion yen ($207 million), the two firms said, the latest in a series of consolidation moves in the industry.

** British highways infrastructure group Hill & Smith agreed to sell Express Reinforcements Limited to privately owned Celsa Group for 12.8 million pounds ($19.3 million) and said it would use the proceeds to reduce debt.

** British trains and bus company Arriva Plc has bought LNWR, a train maintenance company set up by music producer Pete Waterman, for 2.4 million pounds ($3.6 million) and the assumption of about 2 million pounds of debt.

** Britain's Carphone Warehouse Plc may split off its telecoms arm to focus on its retail venture with U.S. group Best Buy Co Inc, it said as it warned of tough trading.

** British publishing and exhibitions group United Business Media Plc, which abandoned a planned merger with UK peer Informa Plc earlier this year, said it was buying Xinhua PR Newswire, China's largest corporate announcement service, for $6 million in cash.

** Turkey's Alarko said it will form a consortium with Dogus Holding and Fina to bid in the privatisation of Turkey's national lottery. (Compiled by Tina Kwan in Singapore, Amiteshwar Singh and Vidya L Nathan in Bangalore)
