Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Stores & Supplies, Investment Trust and Footwear & Textile sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) added 20.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.600 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was up 16.67% or 0.100 points to 0.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amaya Leisure PLC (CM:CONN), which fell 12.40% or 5.94 points to trade at 42.00 at the close. Hunter & Company PLC (CM:HUNT) declined 11.78% or 54.20 points to end at 406.00 and Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF) was down 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 90 to 67 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amaya Leisure PLC (CM:CONN) fell to 5-year lows; losing 12.40% or 5.94 to 42.00. Shares in Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) rose to all time lows; rising 16.67% or 0.100 to 0.700.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 9.70 to trade at $1209.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.10% to 204.025, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 160.040.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.26.
