Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Financials and Consumer Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Eureka Prima Jakarta Tbk (JK:LCGP), which rose 24.19% or 75 points to trade at 385 at the close. Meanwhile, Indopoly Swakarsa Industry Tbk (JK:IPOL) added 18.67% or 14 points to end at 89 and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) was up 15.29% or 26 points to 196 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Plantation Tbk (JK:GOLL), which fell 10.00% or 11.00 points to trade at 99.00 at the close. Tira Austenite Tbk (JK:TIRA) declined 10.00% or 25.000 points to end at 225.000 and Merdeka Copper Gold TBK PT (JK:MDKA) was down 9.44% or 170 points to 1630.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 146 to 120 and 96 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.25% or 0.94 to $40.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.76% or 0.76 to hit $42.34 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.10 to trade at $1239.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.15% to 13163.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.40% to 10139.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.59.
