National Investment Trust Limited (NIT) is a closed-end fund. Its principal activity is to invest in shares and securities in both the local and international markets. It splits its assets into three parts, which include Sub-Fund 1: NIT Local Equity Fund, to hold various domestically quoted stocks; Sub-Fund 2: NIT Global Opportunities Fund, to hold various overseas investments, and NIT Ltd, to hold the local unquoted shares and manage the above two funds. It has national distribution network, which comprises 27 branches, including an investor facilitation center and customer call center at Karachi and various authorized bank branches all across Pakistan as its distributors. It has launched an online application allowing its customers to interact with it for a range of services. It acts as the manager of NIT Local Equity Fund, NIT Global Opportunities Fund and six new Funds. It also offers asset allocation and exchange traded fund (ETF) products, fixed income and pension products.
