Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Log Commercial Properties e Participacoes SA (SA:LOGG3), which rose 12.06% or 2.11 points to trade at 19.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA Pref (SA:GOLL4) added 6.88% or 1.60 points to end at 24.85 and Hypermarcas SA (SA:HYPE3) was up 6.73% or 2.08 points to 32.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cielo SA (SA:CIEL3), which fell 3.43% or 0.38 points to trade at 10.71 at the close. B2W Cia Digital (SA:BTOW3) declined 3.05% or 1.42 points to end at 45.08 and Cvc Brasil ON (SA:CVCB3) was down 1.67% or 1.00 points to 59.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange by 243 to 219 and 34 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.60% to 30.78 a new 6-months low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1287.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.56% or 0.82 to hit $51.77 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 0.34% or 0.35 to trade at $103.90 .
USD/BRL was up 0.03% to 3.7115, while EUR/BRL fell 0.28% to 4.2545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.278.
