Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Media and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 5.24% or 3.65 points to trade at 73.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 3.88% or 0.59 points to end at 15.79 and TVN SA (WA:TVN) was up 3.69% or 0.65 points to 18.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which fell 4.10% or 4.02 points to trade at 94.00 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 1.73% or 1.41 points to end at 80.09 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was down 1.66% or 0.34 points to 20.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 333 to 240 and 94 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.07% or 1.85 to $58.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.86% or 1.90 to hit $64.38 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.63% or 20.00 to trade at $1207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.47% to 4.0541, while USD/PLN rose 0.98% to 3.6356.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.16% at 95.32.
