Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which rose 2.95% or 1.70 points to trade at 59.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) added 2.43% or 0.14 points to end at 5.90 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was up 2.07% or 9.10 points to 448.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which fell 3.05% or 1.20 points to trade at 38.20 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 2.83% or 0.47 points to end at 16.11 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was down 2.17% or 0.28 points to 12.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 333 to 218 and 117 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.78% or 0.47 to $60.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.40% or 0.26 to hit $63.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.50 to trade at $1179.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.29% to 4.1413, while USD/PLN rose 0.17% to 3.6875.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.35.
