Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrial Investment, Agriculture & Food and Energy & Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.42% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Int Petrochemical Co (SE:2310), which rose 4.23% or 1.35 points to trade at 33.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) added 4.16% or 4.00 points to end at 100.20 and Swicorp Wabel REIT (SE:4345) was up 4.09% or 0.34 points to 8.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260), which fell 5.22% or 1.02 points to trade at 18.52 at the close. Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) declined 3.19% or 0.78 points to end at 23.70 and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100) was down 2.79% or 0.66 points to 23.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 109 to 83 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) rose to all time highs; up 4.16% or 4.00 to 100.20.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.85% or 0.58 to $68.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.84% or 0.59 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 7.15 to trade at $1807.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.4442, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 92.157.
